I took the day off school because who knows why. I just wasn't up for it.

Anyways, I was browsing today's features as per usual when I came across a DD that I thought didn't deserve to be featured. I won't name or point out which DD or the artist I'm referring to but this made me think what exactly art is, what it is to me and how does this contrast with others.

Art isn't about taking photos or replicating something through the use of pencils and an eraser. Art is more about showing others how you think and feel, through perhaps a photograph or a drawing or a piece of writing. Like a window to your soul, the way you were feeling at that specfic moment.

Whatever you put up for show dosen't need to be particularly pretty or unique, it just needs to allow the viewer to feel something, something bigger than they've felt, trigger something in them that makes them realise something perhaps they didn't know before. Capture them for a moment and make them feel like you did. That's art.

At least, to me.
